Competition Headquarters and Weigh Station: The Point Alehouse, beside the Black Sheep bar and Grill, Plumbers Point Road, Whakamaramara

Registration/Entry: Must be paid no later than the start of briefing.

Cancellation: There will be no cancellation of the competition.

• Briefing: 6.30pm Friday 22nd March. Parents/guardians of entrants are asked to attend the briefing at the Point Alehouse to hear any last minute rule changes and to collect starter packs.

Hunting and fishing times: Friday night 22nd, Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th March

Hunting and Fishing is permitted from the end of the briefing until the weigh-in starts. Entrants must be at the event in person to claim any prizes.

Prize Giving: Sunday 24th March from 3pm

Final weigh in time: The weigh in time is 12.30pm to 2pm. No fish/game will be weighed or measured after 2.00pm unless entrants are in line at the weigh station by 2pm

3-9 YEARS OLD:

Snapper: 1st, 2nd, 3rd longest 

Kahawai: 1st, 2nd, 3rd longest 

Trevally: 1st, 2nd, 3rd longest 

Rabbit: 1st, 2nd, 3rd heaviest

Possums: 1st, 2nd, 3rd heaviest

10-15 YEARS OLD:

Snapper: 1st, 2nd, 3rd longest 

Kahawai: 1st, 2nd, 3rd longest

Trevally: 1st, 2nd, 3rd longest 

Rabbits: 1st, 2nd, 3rd heaviest

Possums: 1st, 2nd, 3rd heaviest

3-15 YEARS OLD:

Possums: 1st most possums

Capture and condition of fish and game:

Fish measured for the competition must be caught in the Tauranga harbour only (from Mount entrance to Bowentown entrance), by rod or hand line only (no other methods).

Game to be 'despatched' humanely and legally.

All fish to be measured must be gutted prior to measuring and must be in a fresh edible condition (chilled or kept on ice but not frozen). Bait fish do not need to gutted,

No wet rabbits, possums, or magpies will be weighed.

Variation to Rules:The competition organiser reserves the right to vary these rules up to briefing. Where any part of the rules are varied, the changes will be announced at the briefing.

Disputes:The competition weigh masters decision will be final. No correspondence will be entered into.
